Mad for Kayak Sailing

Building a Bruce Foil for my kayak

Ohhh I have always loved the concept of hydrofoils, and over the winter I decided to try making  a Bruce Foil for my good old Scupper Pro. I stumbled across this article about the K-Wing that made me believe I might be onto something.

The beauty of a Bruce Foil is that it theoretically allows you to solve two problems with one piece of kit, namely reducing heeling from the force of the kayak sail, and secondly producing side resistance to enable windward sailing.

Anyway here are a couple of pics of my attempt at making a Bruce Foil, I'm afraid there isn't one of it mounted on the kayak.... I'll put up better pics and a detailed description soon. (Or maybe I should wait till I have actually tried it! Now that's a good idea)
